Peter Caspari has been on our Board of Directors since 2015, representing United Way of Broward County. He grew up in New York and enlisted in the military during the Vietnam era, serving in various duty assignments. Upon completion of his military career and honorable discharge, he relocated to South Florida.
Today, Peter is the CEO and founder of the iReachAmerica Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to community advocacy for our military Wounded Warriors, service members and Veterans. He was also appointed to serve the Department of Defense in the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserves (ESGR) Agency where he has held the volunteer position of Vice Chairman of Employer Outreach for the State of Florida since 2010. Peter is also an active participant in the Department of Defense Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program that assists returning OEF/OIF troops with their reintegration to civilian status and providing them with job opportunities throughout the “Heros to Hired” program.
As a community advocate, Peter has been actively involved in support of our military service members, veterans and wounded warriors in many local and regional initiatives. His participation on our joint Board as a Veteran and a community activist adds real value to our organizations, and we thank Peter and all Veterans for their service as we celebrate Veterans Day this month!
