The ‘A Night for Justice Gala’ is a fresh, reimagined event dedicated to celebrating community, music, and the mission of Legal Aid Service of Broward County. Featuring live music, outstanding food and drinks, and an elegant setting, this exciting evening offers an unforgettable experience for all who attend.
The A Night for Justice Gala is a call to action—bringing the community together to support Legal Aid Service of Broward County’s critical work in providing free legal services to those in need while recognizing some very deserving honorees championing the cause of justice.
Our 2025 theme is ‘Rhythms of Hope.’ With nowhere else to turn when they cannot afford counsel, thousands of Broward County residents depend on the legal assistance Legal Aid can provide. By addressing access to justice for our most vulnerable populations, Legal Aid helps build a stronger, more equitable community.
Debra Koprowski, Executive Director of Legal Aid Service of Broward County invites you to join us for this special evening as we celebrate the power of music to unite us and the power of our collective efforts to change lives, knowing that, together, we can make a lasting impact!

Given annually to an advocate whose actions exemplify a personal and professional commitment to making justice available to the poor and disadvantaged. The Award was named after its first (1998) recipient, Mr. Carlisle himself. He is a lifelong champion of the rights of the poor and disadvantaged and was the first chairperson of the LAS Board of Directors in 1974.
All proceeds benefit Legal Aid Service of Broward County and the thousands of clients in need they serve each year.
