Ways to Help

Make a Donation

The majority of those in need of legal assistance go unserved due to lack of resources.
To bridge this gap is a massive endeavor.

  • Broward County has an estimated 1.9 million residents
  • Nearly 300,000 live in poverty and cannot afford legal help
  • There is 1 full-time LAS attorney for every 5,600 people in need
  • Our work would not be possible without the generous support of our donors

Pro Bono Work

Help defend the rights of low-income families and children, immigrants, victims of crime, Veterans,
the homeless, persons living with HIV/AIDS, and other vulnerable residents of Broward County

  • Strengthen our community by stabilizing families in need
  • Open pathways to justice and encourage social and economic growth
  • We provide administrative support so you can focus on the legal work
  • CLE credits are available for on-line and in-person trainings

Fellowships

Fellowships play a critical role in developing and training young attorneys. LAS Fellows help us provide integrated service strategies that are responsive to our community’s needs.

  • Fellowships provide a modest financial stipend to law students
  • LAS hosts a variety of Public Interest Law Fellowships
  • Inquire about fellowship positions and participation with LAS
