Stephan*, who suffers from significant health problems, fell behind on his condo association fees. He did not have a mortgage on the condo. He was served with a foreclosure complaint filed by the condo association because of the unpaid condo fees. Legal Aid assisted him with filing his initial pleadings with the court and he was able to negotiate a payment plan with the condo association and dismissal of the action, saving his condo valued at $122,000.
