Jessica Boxer joined the Children’s Permanency Project at Legal Aid in February 2017. The Permanency Project takes a creative and collaborative approach within statutory guidelines to resolve complex issues and barriers to permanency.
Jessica has practiced in the field of child welfare for over 10 years. She began her practice as a staff attorney for the New York City Administration for Children’s Services in Queens. After several years of practice in New York, this native Floridian decided to move back to Broward County where she was born and raised. Jessica felt a strong call to represent first, the State of Florida and later, its children in Dependency actions.
Jessica is passionate about the legal rights of children and steadfast in the belief that children have an inherent right to legal counsel. She also is a mom to 8-year-old Julius and an avid yoga practitioner.
