New Board Chair Steve Jaffe, Esq.

 

When 2018 Board Chair Steve Jaffe is asked why Legal Aid is so important to him, he offers up a quote from Winston Churchill. “Never give in, never, never, never give in,” later updated by the late college basketball head coach Jimmy Valvano to “Never give up, never, never, never give up.” He adds “This must be the belief of those who get involved with legal aid. We need to serve those who cannot serve themselves. There is no greater reward than to give back.”
Serving on the joint Board since 2013, Steve has been dedicated to raising awareness about Legal Aid programs in Broward. He also takes pro bono cases, mentors volunteer attorneys, and successfully advocates for Legal Aid to receive cy pres awards. He’s all in.
Steve currently practices with Upchurch Watson White & Max. Practice areas include personal injury, class action, medical malpractice, breach of contract, consumer fraud, long-term care insurance and complex commercial cases.
