FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (August 25, 2020) – Legal Aid Service of Broward County (LAS) and Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida (CCLA) are pleased to announce the recipients of their 2020 Annual Recognition Awards. The awards were presented during a series of on-line virtual events August 18 – 20 through the organization’s Facebook pages at Facebook.com/CoasToCoastLegalAid and Facebook.com/LegalAidBroward. During the series of online virtual events, thousands of legal professionals, community leaders, and friends and families watched each honoree receive their award as they made brief remarks.
“The ongoing need for volunteer legal assistance and vital supportive services to the poor and disadvantaged affects the daily life of many people in our community, including veterans, seniors and families,” said Sherylle Francis, Esq., chair of the LAS/CCLA board of directors. “These awards honor those who recognize that need and have committed themselves to serving the community.”
