FOR THE PUBLIC GOOD HONOREE: Robin Moselle

The Russell E. Carlisle Advocacy Award is given annually to an advocate whose actions exemplify a personal and professional commitment to making justice available to the poor and disadvantaged.  Robin S. Moselle, Esq., a partner at Rogers, Morris & Ziegler LLP, has been selected to receive the 20th annual Russell E. Carlisle Advocacy Award, which will be presented at the 17th Annual For the Public Good event on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at the Pier Sixty-Six Hotel and Marina in Fort Lauderdale.
“Thanks to Russ Carlisle’s contributions over the years, as Legal Aid’s founding Board Chair, a driver for IOLTA funds in Florida and nationwide, and as an advocate for the rights of the disadvantaged, Legal Aid has been able to help tens of thousands of clients over the years,” said Moselle. “Russ is a true hero and champion and I am incredibly honored to receive this award. Russ inspires me and is my example.”
Robin comes from a family of lawyers and has been involved with legal aid programs from the moment she passed the Bar exam. She is the Past President of the Broward County Bar Association, Past Chair of Legal Aid Service of Broward County, Collier County and Coast to Coast Legal Aid, and she sits on the Board of Governors for NSU Shepard Broad College of Law.
“Robin’s work with both the Broward County Bar Association and the Legal Aid Programs in Broward sets a fine example of how involvement in our community can make a difference. She has shown great dedication to ensuring access to justice for some of the most vulnerable members of our community,” said Russell E. Carlisle, Esq.
Over her 20-plus year legal career, Robin has been involved with nearly every aspect of Legal Aid. She has has handled numerous pro bono cases, volunteered for the Broward Lawyers Care Advice and Counsel Hotline, worked as a volunteer on fundraising and event committees, and served as Board Chair.
“Robin Moselle has led by example throughout her legal career.  As Chair of the Legal Aid Board of Directors and President of the Broward County Bar Association, she has used her position and influence to help increase access to our legal system by all without regard to financial means,” said Tony Karrat, executive director of Legal Aid Service of Broward County. “She has taken pro bono cases, helped to fundraise and spoken out on the importance and need for legal aid for the poor and disadvantaged.  She is a remarkable leader who truly meets the high standards set for recipients of the Russell E. Carlisle Advocacy Award.”
