Broward Legal Aid Organizations Recognized as Sun-Sentinel Top Workplaces for Fourth Year in a Row

Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida (CCLA) and Legal Aid Service of Broward County (LAS) have been awarded a 2018 Top Workplaces honor by the Sun Sentinel for the fourth year in a row. The Top Workplaces list is based solely on the results of an employee feedback survey administered by Energage, a leading research firm that specializes in organizational health and workplace improvement. Several aspects of workplace culture were measured, including alignment, execution and connection.
The Sun Sentinel surveyed more than 18,000 employees in South Florida to find the best places to work, ending up with 70 employers honored as Top Workplaces. Small organizations/businesses are categorized by having fewer than 125 employees in South Florida, midsize have 125-399, and large have 400+. All 70 were honored during an awards ceremony on April 19 in Coral Springs.
CCLA and LAS ranked 31 out of 40 in the small employer category along with supporters Kelley Uustal and Krupnick Campbell Malone Buser Slama Hancock Liberman.
“I am immensely proud to have a workplace that fosters such a high degree of employee satisfaction and respect,” said Barbara Prager, executive director of Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida. “To be distinguished and recognized as a Top Workplace for four years running is a remarkable and sincere testament to the value based commitment and compassion shared among our diverse and dedicated employees who work tirelessly to benefit those in our community who need it most.”
