Douglas Reynolds, Esq. is a Director at Tripp Scott, PA and Board Certified by the Florida Bar in both Business Litigation and Marital and Family Law. Assisting local legal aids for over 30 years, he represents pro bono clients in various forms of litigation, including business disputes, civil rights, family law, guardianships, housing and personal injury claims. Dedicated to helping the most vulnerable members of our community gain access to our legal system, Doug believes there is no greater calling than helping those most in need. He further explains, “Each day, the most vulnerable members of our community confront serious legal challenges alone and without the skills or resources necessary to navigate our complex legal system. Often, everything they have may be at stake: for some, that may be the loss of their housing; for others, that may be the loss of the government benefits they depend on; and for others, that may be the loss of their children. In these cases, as in all cases, there can be no equality of justice where there is no equality of legal resources.”
Reynolds was the 2019 recipient of the prestigious Russell E. Carlisle Advocacy Award which is presented annually to an advocate whose actions exemplify a personal and professional commitment to making justice available to the poor and disadvantaged. The award was presented in May during the annual Law Day Luncheon. In addition, he has since joined the Board of Directors for the Legal Aid Programs in Broward.
Not one to sit on his laurels, Doug has recently agreed to co-counsel a major housing / tenant rights case with Legal Aid that will potentially impact hundreds of low income members of the community who currently are residing in sub-standard conditions.
