Board Member Spotlight: Caran Rothchild
This month’s spotlight shines on Caran Rothchild, an accomplished attorney at Greenberg Traurig LLP and the 2023 Chairperson for Legal Aid Service of Broward County (LASBC). Caran is based in the firm’s Ft. Lauderdale office, where she focuses her practice on commercial litigation, including complex business disputes and intellectual property matters.
Caran is an experienced employment advisor and litigator, having represented local and national clients in numerous jury and non-jury trials and administrative proceedings involving discrimination, harassment, restrictive covenants, and wage and hour issues. Her clients include corporations, municipalities, and individuals in a variety of employment, complex commercial, and civil-related issues. Known for her strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills, Caran has a reputation for achieving optimal results for her clients.
Beyond her legal practice, Caran is an active member of her community and volunteers her time for various non-profit organizations, including Legal Aid Service of Broward County (LASBC) and Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida (CCLA). As the 2023 Chairperson for LASBC, Caran brings her passion for helping those in need to her leadership role in the organization.
Caran is a member of distinguished organizations such as The Florida Bar, American Bar Association, Broward County Bar Association, and the Broward County Women Lawyers Association, among others. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Florida and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where she was a member of the University of Florida’s Law Review.
