Young Lawyers Section of the Broward County Bar Association Announces Summer Fellow at Legal Aid Service of Broward County

Nova Southeastern University School of Law student Nabila Rahim selected as the 2019 Fellow

The Young Lawyers Section (YLS) of the Broward County Bar Association is pleased to announce that Nabila Rahim was selected as their 2019 Summer Fellow. Rahim is spending a six-week fellowship with the Legal Aid Providers in Broward County, Legal Aid Service of Broward County (LAS) and Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida (LAS).

Rahim is a rising second-year law student at Nova Southeastern University School of Law and plans to pursue a career in public interest law. As a Fellow, Rahim is working directly with Legal Aid clients and attorneys, focusing on U.S. Military Veteran issues in the Mission United Veterans Pro Bono Project. She is proud of the work she has done to help Veterans and their families. Rahim says, “I feel privileged to be able to work with Veterans and it is an honor to give back to those who have sacrificed so much for our country.”

Lindsay Massillon, president of YLS stated, “I have participated in this project for the past six year, and continue to be pleased to do so. This is an important and necessary program for both the Fellow and for our legal aid providers here in Broward. We are excited about Nabila’s enthusiasm to serve as the 2019 Summer Fellow and look forward to seeing the great work she does for our community this summer.”
