Story of Justice: Affordable Housing
In these turbulent and troubling times, there is a bright spot for some of the clients we serve, namely the addition of 48 affordable housing units for 55+ individuals. On June 15th, Crossroads/Carrfour began accepting applications for units at the Residences at Equality Park in Wilton Manors. Applications will be selected from a lottery.
The Residences are connected (literally) to The Pride Center so there will be integrated services for LGBTQ+ residents.
The opening of the Residences is a proud moment for all of us at Legal Aid. It represents the culmination of nearly four (4) years of legal work done by Legal Aid on behalf of The Pride Center in connection with the financing and construction process of this much needed affordable housing.
