Profile in Good: Erin Weiss

Erin Hantman Weiss joined Legal Aid Service of Broward County in March 2018. Her practice is focused on affordable housing and community development law, where she represents nonprofit affordable developers in Broward County.
Before joining Legal Aid, Erin worked as a transactional attorney representing local businesses in various industries. She wanted to take the skills acquired in private practice to provide legal assistance to small businesses and non-profit organizations committed to serving and developing their communities.
Erin was born and raised in Miami.  She received her B.A. from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa (honor society), and her J.D. cum laude from the Levin College of Law at the University of Florida.  Erin currently serves as a member of the Walk Committee for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Broward County and volunteers at community events supporting the Rotary Club of Bal Harbour. 
She is a proud mom to Murphy Wayne, a charismatic tri-paw (three-legged) pup.
