Berbeth has been a staff attorney in the Senior Citizen Law Project of Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida since July 2010. She litigates consumer rights issues dealing with mortgage foreclosure defense; debt collection related to condominium fees, credit card debt, auto deficiency collection and others; fraud and bankruptcy. In the last two years, Berbeth has rescued her clients from $205,000 of debt. She also regularly conducts various community outreach events to familiarize the community with the services provided by the Senior Law Project.
Berbeth graduated from University of Miami School of Law in May 2009. While at the University of Miami, Berbeth was a Dean’s Honor Scholar and Bill Colson Scholarship recipient. Shortly after graduation, she was awarded a University of Miami Foreclosure Defense fellowship to work at Legal Aid Services of Broward County. That fellowship opportunity at Legal Aid Service of Broward County blossomed into her current full-time position. Berbeth is a member of the Florida Bar, American Bar Association, Broward County Bar Association, and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
