Ofer Shmucher, Esq.

Mr. Ofer Shmucher is a new member of the Broward Lawyers Care Pro Bono Panel. Since June 2020, Mr. Shmucher has generously accepted several new cases to represent clients being sued by debt collectors to help them reach a fair resolution. His work helps clients to avoid the risk of a wage garnishment, which would make low-income clients more vulnerable to eviction or foreclosure.

Mr. Shmucher is a bankruptcy attorney and the founder of Shmucher Law, PL. His bankruptcy practice includes creditor negotiations, representation of individuals and corporate debtors, creditors, and trustees in Chapter 7 and 13 filings, and adversary proceedings. Since 2009 Mr. Shmucher has assisted hundreds of individuals and businesses with their debt problems.
In addition to his bankruptcy law practice, Mr. Shmucher has mentored numerous law students from the University of Miami, St. Thomas, and Florida International University.
Mr. Shmucher earned his undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Nevada and his Law Degree from Nova Southeastern University. Mr. Shmucher is licensed to practice law in the state of Florida and the United States District Court for the Southern and Middle District of Florida.
