New Program Launched: The Florida Community Development Legal Program

Last year, Legal Aid Service of Broward County launched a new program in collaboration with Legal Services of Greater Miami to benefit nonprofit organizations. LASBC is proud to announce that this program has begun its statewide expansion, joining with Community Legal Service of Mid Florida. 
LASBC Project Attorney for Affordable Housing and Community Economic Development Wendy Wilson and eight lawyers throughout the state collaborate on the legal representation of nonprofits engaged in the development/preservation of affordable housing and/or community development; as well as small businesses that are owned by low income individuals in economically challenged areas. 
Now expanding from Lake County South to the Florida Keys, this program is making sure that nonprofits and small businesses are getting the legal representation they need.
