Kirschbaum, Birnbaum, Lippman & Gregoire, PLLC to Receive Law Firm of the Year Award at 14th Annual For the Public Good

Kirschbaum, Birnbaum, Lippman & Gregoire, PLLC
to Receive Law Firm of the Year Award
at 14th Annual For the Public Good

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (July 23, 2015) –Legal Aid Service of Broward County (LAS) and Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida (CCLA) have announced that Kirschbaum, Birnbaum, Lippman & Gregoire, PLLC (KBLG) has been selected to receive the Law Firm of the Year Award at the 14th Annual For the Public Good. The event will be held Thursday, October 1, 2015 at the Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six in Fort Lauderdale.

The 2015 Law Firm of the Year award honors a firm that has a history of being a strong advocate of pro bono legal service in Broward County. KBLG is a Florida law firm focusing on family law matters as well as state and federal appeals. The partners, Joel L. Kirschbaum, Katherine Birnbaum, Juliette Lippman, and Nancy W. Gregoire share a philosophy and spirit of giving back to the community.

KBLG has been actively involved with LAS and CCLA for years. They continually bring resources to bear that improve the lives of some of the most vulnerable members of our community. Members of the firm take pro bono cases and contribute volunteer service to CCLA and LAS among other organizations in the community.  They also contribute financially with sponsorship of the Bridge to Justice Breakfast and For the Public Good.  Additionally, KBLG shows true generosity and spirit of giving with their participation in the annual CCLA/LAS Holiday Adopt-A-Family program.

“KBLG is honored to be chosen as the 2015 law firm of the year. We have enjoyed a close relationship with Legal Aid Service of Broward County and Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida since the inception of our firm, and we hope that our younger attorneys will carry on the tradition for many years to come,” says Katherine Birnbaum. “Legal Aid’s For the Public Good and Bridge to Justice events have provided excellent opportunities for us to give back by raising funds for those who could not otherwise afford legal services. However, we take this opportunity to thank the employees of Legal Aid and Coast to Coast who are the true heroes as they dedicate their daily practices for those in need.”
The annual fundraiser will celebrate the magic of pro bono giving and honor members of the community who have gone above and beyond in their efforts to secure justice and change lives for the underprivileged and underserved in Broward County. An estimated 450 Broward County lawyers, judges and community leaders are expected to be in attendance, for what is widely-noted throughout Broward as the premier pro-bono recognition event of the year.

Proceeds from the event benefit children and families served by LAS and CCLA and enable both organizations to serve greater numbers of those in need.  A few of the many legal services provided include helping veterans gain much needed benefits, abused children in foster care, the homeless, children in need of special education, victims of domestic violence and families losing their homes to foreclosure.
