Profile in Good: Carolyn Ware

Carolyn Ware joined Legal Aid as the staff attorney for the Legal Empowerment and Assistance Project (LEAP) program in March 2018. LEAP is a holistic poverty to prosperity project that enables economically challenged individuals to become truly self-sufficient. The project works to remove legal barriers facing participants while providing them with access to a range of fundamental life skills including employability skills training and financial literacy.

During law school, Carolyn worked with Legal Aid’s Mission United Veterans Pro Bono Project. She then spent two and an half years working in Community Relations and Student Advancement at Keiser University. Carolyn has now returned to Legal Aid to follow her passion and serve those in need. The knowledge and experience she gained at Keiser has allowed for a career- and education-focused approach to many of our client’s issues. Combining this experience with her legal education makes her a great fit for LEAP.

Carolyn graduated from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center, in 2015. She has a bachelor’s in hospitality and tourism management from the University of Massachusetts – Isenberg School of Management. Carolyn was recently married in April 2018 and enjoys spending time with her new puppy, Louie.
